5150, approaching Greenfield station on 19th April 1986, carried one of the first Optare bodies built which were virtually identical to the Roe bodies that had previously been built in the same plant. After two small batches for West Yorkshire PTE Optare did not build any more double-deck bodies for over two years. This was mainly as a result of deregulation which led to a nose-dive in orders for double-deckers but a big demand for minibuses.
