On 2nd August 1996 a Blue Bus Dennis Dart is seen from a high and distant viewpoint as it passes the car park and bunkhouse at Globe Farm. This was a popular place for accommodation for hikers using the Pennine Way which crosses the A62 not far from here. Combined with the welcoming fires of the Horse and Jockey a very pleasant night could be spent here. Sadly both are now closed.
