60982 passes the Floating Light on 27th January 2004. This pub has an interesting history. It was originally opened slightly further up the hill about 1842 and became more popular with Irish navvies than the local magistrates liked during the construction of the Standedge railway tunnels. The building seen here replaced the original pub in 1940 and closed in 2000. Here it is about 1180 feet above sea level.
