In the days before the formation of West Yorkshire PTE the 65 was worked by Huddersfield, but not very often with double-deckers. Fleetline 502 made an unusual sight in Uppermill Square, the juxtaposition with a Salford Atlantean (visible in the background) being even more unusual.
