Subject: Rhondda Buses 2108 (F108 YWO)
Chassis: MCW Metrorider MF150/103
Body: MCW DP23F
Location: Tonypandy bus station
Date: Aug-1993

In early Rhondda Buses days the T-prefix Bustler services were replaced. Clydach Vale had been served by the T1 from Porth and the T2 (latterly) from Blaenllechau. They were replaced by the 171 and the 173 and 174 services which ran from Porth to Clydach Vale.

The 173 ran from Porth to Tonypandy via Aubrey Road, previously served by the T4 and first served by Rhondda Transport's R29 from 1960. The 174 ran via Trealaw and, by calling in the depot en route, enabled easy crew changes on the various interworked services operated by these minibuses.
