The effect of crouching down to ground level was achieved by the more comfortable expedient of taking the photograph from slightly down Station Brow with a telephoto lens. The bus stop on the right was, unusually, an alighting stop only for the 14 and 153 (latterly 155). This was a cast aluminium stop and unique. I saw it in the Oldham garage just after it had been removed and wish I'd been more determined to recover it! Although it was only an alighting stop for those services, the 157 and 158 stopped here and not at the other side of the bridge. NOT a very good interchange point! 5351 was on the 14 on 13th April 1973.
