This is one of the Southdown Atlanteans bought by Ribble at deregulation which appeared in Saddleworth on schools journeys. By the time of this photo the once-proud Ribble operation in Manchester was running under the Bee-Line fleetname. 1603 carries names from both operators. It is passing through Clarksfield and will be on a school extra working from Saddleworth School.
