Manchester 3699 is at Greenfield station on 29th August 1970, having just left Uppermill. The destination blind as usual omits to point out that the end of the run is in Manchester and more unusually Stevenson Square has not been abbreviated (see other photos). The disused junction signal on the railway behind was for the line from Greenfield to Oldham, closed in 1964. The speed limit signs are inconsistent if you look carefully - and in those days de-restricted meant just that!
