This unidentified Darlington BUT is at the junction of High Row and Bondgate, with the statue of Joseph Pease in the background. He was one of the family behind the building of the Stockton and Darlington railway and the statue was erected to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of the railway in 1875. The statue was moved a short distance in 1958 but returned to its original location, cleaned and unveiled again in its original position on 24th October 2007.
