The summer evening shadows put National Travel East's UUF 327J in the shade as it turns into Regent Street in Oldham on an 897 service. This was originally a touring coach for Southdown with only 32 seats but at this time it had 44 seats, still trimmed in Southdown moquette.

These older vehicles were used by Liversedge depot for some time on this service, one they operated under sufferance as they didn't consider the income it generated to be sufficient.
