279 turns round the toilets in the middle of Porth Square to head back up Porth Street whence it has just come to continue its journey from either Llwynypia or Tonypandy to Maerdy. The bus timetables on the wall of the toilet block allowed you to check whether you had time to pay a call!
The moulding in the middle of the upper deck panels seems to have caused difficulties when putting adverts on this batch. Sometimes they were put in the space above the moulding (although they were slightly too deep for that) and other ones, particularly the signwritten ones, tended to be put over the moulding as seen here. Neither position was ideal.
