Most of the English Electric-bodied TD5s were rebuilt after the war and survived until 1954. Eight did not and were withdrawn in 1948/9. Just one of these received a new coach body and that was the former 142 which was fitted with this Harrington C33F example. It operated first in this form for J. Williams and Son (Red Garage), Porthmadog, then for Creams (Llandudno) Limited before passing to Silver Star of Upper Llandwrog in 1959. It survived with them until the beginning of 1963, the chassis a creditable twenty-six years old.
