427 was caught passing through Hopkinstown on a football special to Ninian Park. Rhondda operated several services to Ninian Park (X2 to X6) but as an incorrect number is shown it isn't possible to establish this bus's origin. However it is almost certainly from Tonypandy or Maerdy.

Although there are not many passengers on board it will no doubt pick up more - this was one of the bigger matches at Ninian Park. Wales were hosting England with the final result being 1-1, watched by just over 60,000.
