This excellent panorama of Brownhill from the winter of 1965 contains a lot of interest. The house at the corner of Wool Road and Dobcross New Road has yet to be demolished to allow Wool Road to be widened to cope with the heavy traffic it saw at the time. In the centre of the picture Saddleworth station is still open - it didn't close until 1968.
More relevant to this gallery is what is almost certainly one of the Albion Aberdonians from the North Western fleet crossing the canal bridge. I have to assume it is on the 158 but it could also be on the 156 service.
