A concern that high vehicles were damaging the property on the inside corner of the hairpin bend on the hill at Greenfield station led to the road makings being changed to move vehicles away from the corner. In addition the eaves of that house were rebuilt and to do this it was necessary to close the road. As a consequence the 180 was diverted from Greenfield to Uppermill to turn round and then proceed to Oldham on the normal 184 route. 60444 is on this diversion at Wade Lock in rather gloomy conditions on 2nd February 2005.
