OCGP409

Subject: Western Welsh HR769 (VTG 508G)
Chassis: Leyland Atlantean PDR1A/1
Body: Northern Counties H42/31F
Location: Cardiff bus station
Date: May-1975

If 507 looked a bit scruffy in 1973, by 1975 508, now renumbered HR769, was looking little short of deplorable. It had acquired Western Welsh fleet names and when renumbered it is clear the number plates prepared in advance with the new number assumed the bus would be in poppy red.

Behind is another similar vehicle, almost certainly from the same batch, the depth of the white band being the best indicator.
