Two years almost to the day since the previous photograph, 1053 is seen entering Caerphilly bus station. In true Rhondda Buses fashion it has lost its foglights in the intervening period. An electrical fire the following September would see the end of its active career and it passed to South Lancs who used it as source of spares for similar AFB 597V. The latter vehicle still survives having carried several different liveries in preservation, none of which are that of its original operator, Bristol Omnibus!
