1 was the first of the batch used to open Porto's trolleybus system in 1959. This photograph was taken when the 35 route only ran as far as Batalha - it was later extended to Campanhã.

The location (Viriato - at the junction of Rua da Restauração and Rua d'Alberto Aires de Gouveia) has changed quite a bit although some of the houses on the left still survive, as do the tram tracks.
