This English Electric demonstrator was displayed at the 1929 Olympia exhibition when built and ran registered CK 4257. It is shown here in English Electric's own colour scheme. It saw little use in this demonstrator role as it became redundant once English Electric and AEC had signed a joint agreement for the production of trolleybuses.

It joined the Bradford fleet in March 1932 and following withdrawal in May 1945 it was sold to South Shields, in which fleet it became their 239.
