With Ferndale spread out to the right behind it, HR4078 heads for Cardiff. It carries New Rhondda local identifiers which show that it is after the implementation of the MAP scheme but the 332 was largely unchanged by that scheme despite the introduction of the X8 Cardiff to Maerdy express service.
