Unfortunately I don't have a precise date for this, only a processing date, so I cannot be sure if it is before or after the formation of Rhondda Buses - I have assumed it is the latter. There is no positive indication either way.

The X9 service had been cut back from its previous terminus at Blaenllechau the previous year and now terminated in a loop round the hill top estate at Penrhys.

424 was withdrawn by Jun-1992 and would not have received Rhondda Buses livery.
