Subject: Bradford C. T. 655 (CAK 655) and 759 (FKU 759) Chassis: AEC 661T (CAK 655) and BUT 9611T (FKU 759) Body: East Lancs H35/28R (CAK 655) and Weymann H33/26R (FKU 759) Location: Thornbury depot Date: c.1968
655 on the left had given sterling service to Bradford and was only recently withdrawn, in its long life having been the first and last on the Tong Cemetery route. 759, in contrast, managed but thirteen years of service and had been withdrawn since February 1964, hence its rather dirty state. 759 is on the most westerly wired road in the depot, 27 road. Note that the road numbers dated from tram days and don't corresponding with the wiring as sometimes wiring would be shared by two adjacent roads.
759's blind display has been set for the trolleybus conversion for which the batch was bought, but which never happened.
