Subject: Rhondda Buses 2 (C102 HKG) and West Midlands Travel 578 on loan as Cardiff Buses 709 (D578 NDA)
Chassis: Ford Transit 190D (C102 HKG) and Dodge S56 (D578 NDA)
Body: Carlyle B16F (on Dormobile shell) (C102 HKG) and Reeve Burgess B19F (D578 NDA)
Location: Caerphilly, Cardiff Road
Date: 2-Jun-1992

One of National Welsh's very first Bustlers, 2 was painted in the Rhondda Buses colour scheme and looks, (dare I say it?), quite smart.

The bus behind was one of twelve similar buses on loan from West Midlands Travel from February to July/August 1992 to strengthen the fleet for new services in the Barry and Vale of Glamorgan areas, the very services that would see the closure of National Welsh's last depot at Barry where 2 had been based.
