Subject: National Welsh DS496 (A36 XBO)
Chassis: Dennis Lancet SD515
Body: East Lancs B47F
Location: Bedwas depot
Date: 27-Apr-1991

The three ex-Taff-Ely Dennis Lancets seem to have been rather unloved. DS497 has been seen at Porth a year earlier in another view in this gallery and has moved to Bedwas depot, still in exactly the same condition. All three had been withdrawn in February 1992 and passed via Tellings-Golden Miller to Rhondda Buses in May 1992, shortly after the depot closure in February 1992.

DS495 has a difference in application of the central green band which makes quite a difference to the frontal appearance.
The Leyland National identifiable is SKG 904S, which can be seen to be in Caerphilly Buslink livery. This was new to Red & White as N3177, passing to National Welsh and successively being numbered N1594 and N594.
