By this date it was almost eight years since the demise of Taff-Ely and vehicles that had run in that fleet were getting few and far between. Erstwhile National 2 33 was still looking very smart working for Burnley & Pendle and still had another four years to go, with the takeover of Burnely & Pendle by Stagecoach giving it a new livery. It also received a new fleet number 333 which evoked its original identity.
