A fitter is showing Marcus Gaywood (centre) and his son the engine of early wartime Bristol L 16. Mr Gaywood was a leading member of the Omnibus Society in South Wales at the time.

The high pre-war radiator and the lower version used after the war can be compared thanks to Bristol K5G 55 being parked alongside.
