Leyland Leopards hired from Ribble helped to keep the Yelloway services going and 1028 is motoring well as it approaches Grains Bar from Halifax on 18th March 1987. The overhead electrical cables here were not always up to the winter conditions - in the early sixties a build-up of ice on the cables led to an excessive load on the pylon in the valley to the right which collapsed, fortunately as far as I recall without injury.
