Ellen Smith went for the unusual and powerful Leyland Royal Tiger Worldmaster RT3/2 chassis when they bought SDK 442 in 1958. It originally had a Plaxton Consort Mark II body but was rebodied in 1970 with a Plaxton Panorama Elite body as seen here on 19th May 1978.

It is heading with its band to the next contest, having turned round at Road End. At this date the event was much quieter and traffic was only held when bands were actually marching.
