AECs were already becoming quite rare by 27th May 1994 when this Duple-bodied example working for Bowers of Chapel-en-le-Frith appeared at the Greenfield contest. New in June 1974 as a touring coach to East Kent, they were unique amongst large bus companies in still not giving their vehicles fleet numbers at that time.
