413 needs little introduction, but St. Helens E76 was one of four of the batch which were loaned to Oldham in late 1965. These were the only PD2/9s built, this was a lowheight version of the PD2/10. They were also unusual in having bodywork by D. J. Davies of Merthyr Tydfil. The whole batch had just been withdrawn at St. Helens and the vehicles were therefore readily available. The four moved en bloc to Barton after their loan spell at Oldham finished.
