360 is another vehicle working to "Barry and Coast to Porthcawl" and is seen with passengers anticipating a pleasant journey through the Vale of Glamorgan.
The area behind the coach was known as Spion Kop and named after the South African battle of 1900. One of the highest points on Barry Island, it was used as an ammunition dump during the Second World War and by 1960 as a car park as seen here.
In 1964 Barry Borough Council reached an agreement to further develop the island for tourism, as a consequence of which Friars Road was severed at this point to allow the construction of the Butlin's Holiday Camp.
Note the "Fanfare" transfer above the cab side window, the script running across the circular MCW logo.
