This photograph captures extremely well the feel of Uppermill Square at the time. SHMD RE 113 is puling out of the terminal point up the side of the Commercial, whilst North Western Y-type Leopard coach 220 (FJA 220D) has arrived on a peak-hour journey on the 157. These use of coaches on peak hour extras was quite common but was rarely recorded.
