Subject: Cyril Evans BTH 482V
Chassis: Leyland Leopard PSU3E/4R
Body: Willowbrook C49F
Location: Caerphilly bus station
Date: Apr-1991

BTH 482V, formerly South Wales 482 and later 174, is seen here after sale to Cyril Evans. No fleet number is carried at this stage but around Feb-1992 it would receive the number W24. It is going to run to Penyrheol via Pontygwyndy Road which would become, after Rhondda took over the service from Cyril Evans, a C4/C14 anti-clockwise circular service and then later the C74.

National Welsh vehicles are in evidence behind, the nearer one being 245 (F254 DKG) which was a Carlyle-bodied Freight Rover Sherpa whilst the further one is a former Rhymney Valley Metrorider.
