All Cardiff's postwar trolleybuses were on BUT 9641T chassis with GEC control equipment, which makes it hard to determine even which batch this example is from. However, it is more likely that an earlier batch would have been photographed.

Of note in this view is the black box to the right of the steering column, which was the overhead/traction battery changeover switch. To the right of that is the compressor governor, which switched the compressor off and on as air pressure rose and fell.
