Subject: Rhondda 454 (454 KTG)
Chassis: AEC Regent V 2D3RA
Body: Metro-Cammell H39/31F
Location: Cardiff bus station
Date: 20-Jun-1970

One of my earlier efforts is this view, taken with a Kodak Instamatic 50 camera, pressed into service whilst my nearly-new 35mm camera was being repaired. I was to collect that from the station later that day or the following morning.

The National Westminster Bank was created in 1968 but had to go through a statutory process so didn't commence trading until 1st January 1970 - New Year's Day didn't become a bank holiday until 1974. The advertising here was aimed at making people aware of the new brand with the triple arrowhead symbol that became so well-known.
