Portsmouth 17 (RV 6375)

Subject: Portsmouth C. T. 17 (RV 6375)
Chassis: AEC 661T
Body: English Electric H26/24R
Location: Southsea, Victoria Road South
Date: 1936

17 heads back to Cosham on the 3A, the northbound equivalent of the 4 which would serve The Guildhall and Twyford Avenue. Trams were still in operation on this section and their separate overhead has been retained, which allowed trolleybuses to pass trams on the nearside.

17 became 217 in 1938 and was stored in 1940. It re-entered service in 1946 but was last licensed in Jan-1951, one of the early withdrawals of the batch. It was not sold until 1956, however.
