One of Portsmouth's trial trolleybuses, 14 was one of the series bodied by the second coachbuilder, Metro-Cammell. It was renumbered 214 in 1938.
It was one of four six-wheelers in the trial fleet all of which were put into store in 1940 but then loaned to Pontypridd UDC. In the case of 14 this was from 14-Aug-1942 until it returned to Portsmouth on 11-Nov-1945.
It received a much-needed repaint in 1948 and remained in service until Apr-1953.
