This late D. J. Davies body style was quite attractive and one would have expected the Dennis chassis to be reliable, they certainly seemed to be elsewhere. However the bodywork proved troublesome and the chassis had also a history of unreliability. As a consequence all five were withdrawn when less than seven years old.

The first of the batch, 65, is seen in Cardiff when all these troubles were still to come. Almost new here, the D. J. Davies coachbuilder's transfer can be made out above the front wheel.
