Traffic was very much in my favour as I took this shot since no cars were to be seen anywhere. This is quite unusual on this road as cars usually catch up a bus on the long climb from Delph cross roads. 30308 climbs out of Thurston Clough on 24th March 2005 - it is hard to imagine that before the building of the M62 this was a major Trans-Pennine road.
