This shot really captures the character of the old X12 which is why I have included it despite being unable to trace the current copyright holder for permission. Passing Shibden Park in Halifax is Yorkshire Woollen 697, new as a PS2/5 with Willowbrook bodywork but rebuilt with a Roe H35/28F body in 1963. This batch of six rebuilds were the last of many Tiger rebuilds to operate for various Yorkshire fleets. It is working a duplicate X12 as far as Oldham whilst behind is 891, an uninspiring Metro-Cammell-bodied Leyland Titan PD3A/1, working the service journey to Manchester.
