Initially weekend operation with West Riding vehicles used what were at the the time the newest double-deckers in the fleet, the Northern Counties-bodied Fleetlines of the 706-730 batch. These were the vehicles that replaced the last Guy Wulfrunians and even used their engines. Latterly it seems that older vehicles were used and these Fleetlines seem to have been a popular choice. 651 was new in 1969 as 216 in the West Riding fleet. The change to NBC poppy red from traditional West Riding green was not greatly welcomed. This bus is also in Mumps bus station.

From an original slide in the David Beilby collection, photographer unknown.
