I have Jon Brierley to thank for tipping me off as to the impending arrival of this beast. A high-capacity Neoplan six-wheel double-decker it’s quite unlike anything previously seen on service in Saddleworth and was provided by Swan’s to work the Hulme Grammar School contract.

It started off working for Stagecoach Red & White operating Megabus services before transferring to the “Oxford Tube”, the frequent coach service from that city into the Capital. It moved again to serve a stint on Glagow to Kilmarnock services, still in Stagecoach ownership, before being sold and joining Swan’s fleet.
