Subject: Maidstone C.T. 25 (KR 353) Chassis: English Electric type E11 Body: English Electric H30/26R Location: Preston, Dick, Kerr Works Date: 1930
25 was one of a batch of seven numbered 23-29 (KR 351-357) which were used to replace Maidstone's last trams on the Loose route. They lasted quite well, with 25 being one of the last withdrawin, in 1948.
The Estler-type trolley base made these vehicles rather tall. The photograph masking has cut through the return cable connected to the chassis frame - the wiring in the works was still tramway wiring at this date.
