The intervening years since this photo was taken in the eighties have seen the statue of Karl Philipp cease to be the centre of a parking lot and the whole area is much improved for the changes. E1 4786 is seen on a short working to Augasse.

The first set of points in front of 4786 are the beginning of the terminal loop here, used at the time by the 71. The second points form a link to the Ring not used for regular service trams.
