Prior to the arrival of two of the type in the Rhondda Buses fleet, this third example which had been 1845 in the Mainline fleet arrived on loan to Rhondda Buses, presumably to assess the suitability of the type for local conditions. Note it carries the names of three different operators on the front!

It later received Stevenson's yellow livery and in time passed to Midland Fox as their 2445.
