A small selection of Ultimate tickets as issued from around 1950, as all have the cancellation grid on the reverse. Quite a few other values were issued although machines could only accommodate five values at a time, or six following the introduction of six-barrel machines at the end of 1955.

The 5d ticket was issued as a return and has been punched to cancel the return section. The 7d ticket is the second of a pair issued for a 1/2d return fare. When such “double” tickets were issued the number of the second was inked over by the machine as shown. This has also been punched to cancel the return.
