Subject: Upper Douglas Cable Tramway 69 Maker: United Electric Car Company, Preston Location: Preston, Albert Edward Dock Date: c.1907
Nearly all the rolling stock for this line was built by Milnes, however 69 was one of two built by UEC and is seen being loaded onto the SS Thursby.
The route lettering on the upper panels leaves a slight puzzle, as operation from Ballaquayle to Broadway stopped in 1902, before this tram was built. Stanley View was not referred to on most other vehicles on the line.
The crane was built by Tannett Walker and Co at the Goodman Street works in Hunslet, Leeds. Tannett Walker went into liquidation in 1913.
