With Union Street closed in front of the Lyceum buses had to divert down Greaves Street and along Ashworth Street to join the lower part of Clegg Street. This was the reverse of the loop once used by the 153 which terminated on Ashworth Street until 1966. 37448 has just turned into Greaves Street past the old Post Office which now forms the Local Studies library.
