Subject: Creamline MCY 242
Chassis: Leyland Royal Tiger PSU1/16
Body: Willowbrook C41F
Location: Neath, Victoria Gardens
Date: 11-Jun-1967

In this view MCY 242 carries a different livery than in the other photos as it has a light blue roof as opposed to the dark blue. It has a "Cream Line" fleet name on the front which it didn't always carry either. It doesn't look too cared-for here, with the nearside side lamp hanging on by one screw and damage in the centre of the front panel. It still retains its rear wheel trim though.

Another late fitment is the rubber strip above the windscreen, presumably as the windscreen frame itself no longer sealed properly.

This vehicle was the penultimate Leyland Royal Tiger in terms of chassis number, the final one being for Bolton (JBN 141). It wasn't the last to enter service - some examples for Liverpool and CIE were later, almost certainly due to delays in building the bodies. There was also a late one for Caerphilly, seen elsewhere in this gallery, but that used a refurbished chassis originally built in 1951.
