Subject: National Welsh XR1957 (NOB 406M)
Chassis: Bristol VRTSL6G
Body: Metro-Cammell H43/33F
Location: Porth depot
Date: early 1986

This bus had spent most of its time with National Welsh in the Eastern Division and as a consequence gained Red & White fleet names when that name was revived.

XR1957 had originally operated for West Midlands PTE as their 4406 before being bought by National Welsh in 1982. Initially number HR7435 it was renumbered as XR1957 in early 1983. I don't believe this was used at Porth and had just been transferred here for storage pending sale.
